• Brisbane an Bord unseres Busses verlassend fahren wir zu unserem ersten Ziel dem Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, dem größten Koalareservat der Welt. Während des Besuchs bieten sich uns unvergessliche Erfahrungen in direktem Kontakt mit der einheimischen Fauna. Wir spazieren durch den von Natur umgebenen Park über Pfade, die uns zahlreiche interessante Begegnungen mit den anderen Bewohnern des Reservats bescheren werden. Abholung durch einen Privatbus und einen ortskundigen Reiseleiter und Fahrt nach Norden zum Australia Zoo – erschaffen vom verstorbenen „Krokodiljäger“ Steve Irwin. Der Zoo liegt etwa 2 Stunden nördlich der Gold Coast an der Glasshouse Mountains Tourist Route in Beerwah an der Sunshine Coast. Es ist die Heimat von über 750 Tieren auf über 50 Hektar und ist international anerkannt und hat einen wichtigen Tourismuspreis gewonnen. Sehen Sie sich eine Schlangenvorführung an, bei der Sie mehr über Schlangen erfahren und erfahren, was zu tun ist, falls Sie von einer Schlange gebissen werden. Es besteht die Möglichkeit, sich mit einer Riesenpython fotografieren zu lassen.

Settle in for a panoramic drive through Brisbane before enjoying an encounter with a koala, one of the most iconic animals in Australia. While driving through the capital of Queensland, you will pass heritage landmarks that reflect Brisbane’s founding nearly two centuries ago. Enlightening commentary will describe how the city has evolved from a penal colony to a densely populated metropolis that straddles both sides of the winding Brisbane River. A bit farther upstream, you will find the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, the world’s first and largest such facility for these cuddly creatures that spend up to 18 hours a day sleeping. The name koala derives from an Aboriginal word meaning “no water” as these marsupials mainly hydrate by eating leaves. After taking a selfie with one of the koalas, you will transfer to the airport. Along the way, you will pause at the lookout atop Mt. Coot-Tha, the highest point in Brisbane.
